The construction of the first Mövenpick ice cream pavilion, designed by architect Adeli on the shores of Lake Montreux, was an exciting challenge for Ileda.

The project had strict time constraints, as the client requested the pavilion to be inaugurated in the spring, despite delays in obtaining the necessary permits. Nonetheless, Ileda rose to the challenge, delivering an exceptional pavilion within a tight timeframe.

One of the key stages of the project involved building the wooden structure, followed by cladding it with metal. This phase required precise technical expertise to ensure the building’s strength and aesthetic appeal while adhering to safety standards. Integrating the large sliding glass doors, a central feature of the design, posed a significant challenge in terms of coordination. These heavy and delicate doors had to fit seamlessly into the structure, allowing smooth movement between the interior and the exterior, with the lake serving as a stunning backdrop.

The coordination between the various trades, the management of tight deadlines, and the quality of the finishes were crucial to the success of the project. The pavilion, which blends elegance and functionality, has become a unique space, combining its natural setting with exceptional architectural and technical craftsmanship. Thanks to hard work and seamless collaboration, Ileda helped Mövenpick bring this project to life, and the pavilion was inaugurated on time for the spring season.
